Description
The Kazumi organization is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) whose goal is to build a cross-chain Web3 ecosystem that redefines the terms of governance.
While DAOs are undeniably a major step toward true decentralization, existing governance models and voting power structures are solely based on equity. The greater your share in the circulating supply, the more voting power and control you have in the organization. This form of governance resembles the centralized structures that true believers of decentralization seek to break away from.
Kazumi is introducing a first-of-its-kind DAO with a governance model that will be based on Proof-of-Benevolence (PoB). At the heart of Kazumi's philosophy is the belief that governance should be based on the value members bring to the protocol, those who put in the effort should have a greater say in decision-making.
All the code involved in the Kazumi protocol will be open-source, and members of the protocol are welcome to contribute and will be rewarded for doing so.
Here at Kazumi, we believe that this is the way DAOs should operate, where the incentives are aligned to maximize the efficiency in which a decentralized society functions.
